Sadio Mane sends AFCON message to Mohamed Salah and Naby Keita
Sadio Mane, Mohamed Salah and Naby Keita are all representing their respective countries at AFCON this month and the former has sent the latter pair a message of support as the tournament gets under way.
Mane is playing for Senegal this month whilst Salah is featuring for Egypt and Keita is going to be turning out for Guinea.
You'd say that Mane perhaps has the best chance of winning the tournament, too, with a talented Senegal side that has lots of players in the squad that are based in the major European leagues.
Egypt and Guinea will want to make a splash too, though, and Mane has sent a message to his African Liverpool teammates on social media, which you can see via Anfield Watch on Twitter:
Anfield Watch Verdict
Mane always comes across as a hugely humble and classy person and this is a really nice touch for him ahead of the next few weeks.
Only one team can win and each player will be doing all they can to achieve glory but there is always room for messages like this, especially when club teammates could be coming up against one another.
The harmony at Liverpool seems as good as ever, then, and it's certainly promising to see that Mane is in good spirits ahead of the next few weeks, with him and his nation boasting a really genuine chance of winning the competition if things fall their way.
Salah and Keita, though, will be eager to try and inspire their nations to victory as well.
