Ryan Gravenberch says Jurgen Klopp has fixed the biggest problem plaguing him. Liverpool have given him what Bayern Munich couldn't.

Liverpool took a chance on Ryan Gravenberch this summer. The Dutchman had arrived at Bayern Munich with plenty of hype after impressing at Ajax as a teenager.

But things just didn't work out there. Gravenberch struggled to play regularly and when he did, the midfielder just didn't look right. Bayern weren't sure what to do with him and didn't really hesitate once Liverpool made an offer in August.

Gravenberch, though, believes Jurgen Klopp has immediately fixed the problem that plagued him at Bayern. He's now feeling confident again.

“I am happy with [my start],” he said, per Liverpoolfc.com. “Of course, I can improve and do better but I think the start I made is OK.

“[I want to] just be important for the team.

“I played a lot at Ajax, so I had the confidence there as well. [Now] with Jürgen Klopp, he gave me good confidence and I am just enjoying being on the pitch again.”

It's such an important thing for any player, let alone one as young as Gravenberch. He's still only 21, after all, but already at his third major club in a third different country.

Bayern, for whatever reason (and some justifiable), weren't able to give Gravenberch the confidence he had at Ajax. Without it, he just isn't the same player and that's the crux of why he failed in Bavaria.

Liverpool and Klopp must have spotted that when doing their due diligence on him - they quite clearly knew a top player was still in there and that the right coaching would get it out of him again.

Thankfully, they were right. Gravenberch is set to be a fixture at Anfield for a long time to come and with his confidence back, the sky feels like the limit.
