Roberto De Zerbi has spoken out on his future as links to Liverpool, Manchester United and Chelsea continue to gather pace. The Brighton boss is in high demand.

It is incredibly unclear where Roberto De Zerbi will be coaching next season. The Brighton manager has done a fantastic job with the Seagulls - and that's drawn interest from elsewhere.

De Zerbi was one of the first names linked with Liverpool when Jurgen Klopp announced he was stepping down. There's since been talk that both Chelsea and Manchester United have him on their shortlists this summer should they decide to change managers. On top of that, certain Serie A sides would love to take him back home.

The Italian is taking it all in his stride, it seems. He talked about his future this week and insists he's happy at Brighton, seeing no reason to move anywhere else.

"It’s not true that I don’t think about it, but usually I do what I like," he said, per the Metro. "I do what makes me happy and right now it is to be where I am.

"I’m lucky now to be able to compete with these teams at this level to play these games. It makes me happy when we win but also when we lose, I feel something special."

Roberto De Zerbi and Liverpool

There are mixed reports on De Zerbi and Liverpool. Most outlets immediately had him in the top two spots on the Reds' shortlist - but that might not be the case.

The Athletic, for instance, understands that De Zerbi won't make the final shortlist at Anfield and isn't one of the main contenders to succeed Klopp. Of course, that could all change by the time summer comes around.

Brighton, though, face a challenge to retain their manager - whether Liverpool are involved or not.
