Rio Ngumoha closing in on UNHEARD of Liverpool promotion
Rio Ngumoha should be closing in on a massive opportunity at Liverpool that is presented to few young players.
Arne Slot's first team are on course to win the Premier League title without much of a sweat. At this stage the Reds need just two more wins to secure the league title from their next six matches.

This is before we factor in any more potential slip-ups from Arsenal, which are bound to happen.
With Leicester City away and Tottenham at home being the next two fixtures for Slot's side, Liverpool should wrap up the league by the end of the month.
This will leave Slot with an opportunity that very rarely presents itself - four games where he can do whatever he wants to do.
In these four games, Liverpool will have nothing to play for. It's a blank canvas for Slot and it's something that very rarely happens in this ultra competitive Premier League.

The last time this happened was during a disrupted and weird Covid-19 stricken campaign in the 2019/20 season. Back then, Jurgen Klopp used those remaining matches to integrate some of Liverpool's brightest young talents into the first team.
Curtis Jones and Harvey Elliott were two people to benefit from Liverpool's early season victory. Jones got his first Premier League start and scored his first league goal during the final few games of the season. Elliott meanwhile made his senior debut for the Reds in the league.
This time around it is expected Slot will also hand opportunities to those young players who have earned it their chance.
Ngumoha will be among them. Anfield Watch exclusively revealed last year that he's been dazzling first team coaches and forcing the club to delete inside training footage in a bid to control the hype around him.
On his first team debut against Accrington at Anfield in the FA Cup, Ngumoha showcased that exciting ability with an excellent performance.
He continues to deliver at academy level too where he played a key role in Liverpool's U21 side's 1-1 draw with Leeds at the weekend.
Ngumoha was a nuisance throughout the game and it was his cross which was headed out that fell to James McConnell who buried the ball into the back of the net.
These decisive moments are what Ngumoha can offer. He makes things happen. At academy level this season, he averages close to 13 dribblers per 90 minutes and close to eight progressive runs. For the U18s and U19s, he averages 0.42 assists per 90 minutes.
His creativity is something that could be a massive boost for Liverpool's first team already. But it's important not to get carried away with him.
Ngumoha is still only 17-years-old. He's got areas of his game he needs to improve. For example, he's underperformed his xG by 2.41 and sometimes he needs to make better decisions when it comes to his shot selection inside the penalty area.
But his potential is there to see and it's an exciting one. His dribbling levels are something else. A 13 dribblers per game average is unprecedented, right now Lamine Yamal and Nico Williams lead Europe's top five leagues in the metric with 11 dribblers per 90 minutes.
That's the level of talent Ngumoha is and that is how far his ceiling can be - to infinity and beyond.

Liverpool's early title win will be a massive benefit for him. It's almost guaranteed we will see him in some capacity before the end of the season.
