Richard Hughes in MEGA battle to sign Arda Guler
Liverpool are keeping an eye on Arda Guler and Richard Hughes will have to battle to sign the Turkish star.
The Real Madrid attacker has been frustrated by his lack of minutes at the club.

Something that was highlighted by Dominik Szoboszlai in an open spat on social media with Guler after the pair clashed on the pitch during the international break in a game between Hungary and Turkey.
Guler got the better of Szoboszlai in that battle with Turkey dismantling the Liverpool man's side 6-1. The Turkish star is regarded as a top prospect in the game and struggling for minutes at Real Madrid is certainly no shame.
Players who struggled to make the Real Madrid first team but have gone onto have great careers include the likes of Martin Odegaard, who Guler could very well follow.
That's why clubs like Liverpool have been linked with a move for the Turkish international. He still has a lot of potential and an exciting future in the game, he just needs to be given a chance.

But it seems like Liverpool are not the only club who want to sign Guler.
If Richard Hughes is serious about bringing him to the club, he might have to enter a transfer battle this summer in order to convince him Anfield is the perfect next destination.
That is if Fichajes is to be believed who report that Aston Villa are also preparing a bombshell move for the Real Madrid star.
The report claims Unai Emery is a fan of the attacker and just like Liverpool, Villa hope to convince him to join the Premier League after his lack of minutes in Madrid.
It's clear that Guler would be guaranteed more minutes at Villa, considering the club have less star players in comparison to Liverpool.
However, Liverpool is a more attractive offer for Guler. He'll join a club fighting for the biggest honours and who are Premier League champions.
Meanwhile, there's also various roles that he could player under Arne Slot. Guler could play in the no.10 position but he could also be used on the right-wing as a back-up (and maybe even future successor) to Mo Salah.
Everything will depend on the transfer fee though. Real Madrid are not going to want to let him go on the cheap. Even if they realise he isn't currently in their plans, Guler's potential enough is enough to demand a high price.

Whether Liverpool would be willing to pay that price remains to be seen. He's certainly a solid fit for Slot's style of football, and worth the risk, even if it would make things a little bit awkward to begin with in the Reds' dressing room.
