Report reveals Liverpool plans for final days of transfer window

A report from the Liverpool Echo claims that Liverpool are 'almost certain' to not sign anyone between now and the end of the January transfer window next Tuesday.

The Reds have been quiet this month in the market, as has been the case a lot of times in recent years during the winter window.

Of course, there was a mad rush last season to get players in amid a defensive injury crisis but, more often than not, Liverpool have sat on their hands in January.

And, that said, it looks as though that will be the case in the final days of the month:

Ultimately, the only way you could see the Reds dipping into the window was via an injury crisis striking or if they felt the need because of AFCON.

At the end of this month, though, neither have proven such a problem and hopefully the rest of the season is set to be a successful one with the squad available.

It seems, then, a quiet week or so is due on the red side of Merseyside.
