Liverpool could make a move for Juventus forward Paulo Dybala, according to Tutto Mercato, as cited by Anfield Edition's Twitter account.

The report states that the Reds are set to send representatives to Italy this month to establish contacts with the 28-year-old ahead of a possible summer transfer.

Transfermarkt value Dybala at €50 million. However, the Argentina international's contract expires at the conclusion of the current season.

With that being the case, Dybala will be available on a free transfer come the summer.

Anfield Watch Verdict

Dybala is a fine talent. The forward has scored 111 goals and registered 46 assists in 277 appearances for Juventus' first-team.

Dybala has also been averaging a WhoScored player rating of 7.49 across the 2021-22 campaign.

It was not that long ago that former professional footballer Daniele Adani claimed that the 28-year-old is the most important player currently representing Juventus.

As quoted by JuveFC, Adani told Sky Italia the following: “The season speaks, Dybala is the most important player in Juventus. He has been with Juventus for five-and-a-half-years.

“He has an average of 20 goals per championship playing as a number 10 but also running as a number 8. He was able to carry the weight of the number on his shoulders, he was able to accept criticism and he has always dragged. He was the symbol of the new Juve.”

The aforementioned figures and comments highlight that Dybala is a top player. Yes, Liverpool do possess plenty of options up front (Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino, Diogo Jota and Luis Diaz).

However, you can never have too many good players in your squad as far as we are concerned. With that being the case, hopefully the club can bring Dybala to Anfield ahead of next season.

But, only time will tell if Liverpool are genuinely interested in signing the Argentina international.
