Referee named for Liverpool's clash with Wolves
Michael Oliver has been appointed as the referee for Liverpool's trip to Wolves on Saturday, 16 September.
Fresh of the back of an international break, the Reds are looking to continue their unbeaten streak in the Premier League, after drawing with Chelsea on the opening day of the season and beating Bournemouth, Newcastle and Aston Villa in emphatic style.
The Premier League has officially confirmed that Oliver (38) has been put in charge of the match. Meanwhile, Stuart Burt and Dan Cook will act as his assistants, and Tim Robinson will be the fourth official.
Paul Tierney will be in charge of the VAR at Stockley Park, with Mark Scholes assisting.

MICHAEL OLIVER RECORD IN LIVERPOOL GAMES
Oliver has taken charge of 670 games in all competitions and made his Premier League debut in 2010 at the age of 25 – making him the youngest ever referee in the Premier League.
The now 38-year-old has remained in the top flight since and has managed 351 league fixtures, 58 of which were Liverpool games
Of those 58 fixtures, 28 have been wins for the Reds, 17 have been draws and the other 13 have been losses.
The Northumberland-based referee has given out 1111 yellow cards (average of 3.1 per game), as well as 16 second yellow cards, 30 straight red cards, and 115 penalty (roughly 0.3 per game) in his Premier League career to date.
In games involving Liverpool, Oliver has handed out 88 yellow cards (1.5 per game) and awarded 15 penalties (0.25 per game), showing that the referee has tended to be slightly more lenient to both sides whenever officiating a Liverpool game.
Of course, someone who Jurgen Klopp himself has accused of being slightly less lenient towards the Reds is Tierney, who will be on VAR duties at the weekend.
Klopp famously accused the referee of having a personal problem with Liverpool after the manager reached the breaking point in a post-match interview last season.
Speaking to Sky Sports after the Reds' late 4-3 win over Tottenham in April 2023, Klopp said: "We have our history with Paul Tierney. I really don't know what this man has against us, he has said there is no problems but that cannot be true."
