Record-breaking Mohamed Salah brace puts him in yet another elite club

After another typically stellar performance and a brace against Brentford on Sunday, Liverpool's Mohamed Salah not only secured a 3-0 win for the Reds but also created history along the way.

In what might be considered a standard afternoon for Salah, his record-breaking achievements against Brentford have once again proven why he is regarded as one of the finest footballers in the world.

Salah's second goal in the match - a rare header - marked his 200th goal in English football. This achievement is particularly noteworthy considering Salah's challenging start to life in the country with Chelsea. It also highlights his incredible evolution into one of English football's most elite goalscorers.

In terms of his contributions since joining the Anfield club, the 31-year-old has now been directly involved in an impressive 119 goals in 117 appearances in the Premier League (87 goals and 32 assists).

Illustrious company

On Sunday, the Egyptian forward further etched his name into football folklore by becoming the first player to score in each of Liverpool's first six home league games of a season.

However, this impressive run of home form continues beyond this season, and Salah now joins an exclusive club. Alongside Arsenal legend Thierry Henry and Premier League record scorer Alan Shearer, Salah has now made a goal contribution in 15 consecutive Premier League home games.

Salah's first goal, orchestrated by a Darwin Nunez pass, marked the Uruguayan's seventh Premier League assist this season, all of which have been for the Egyptian superstar. This unique synergy between the two players has been a key factor in Liverpool's early-season success.

As Liverpool leapfrog Arsenal into second place on goal difference, Salah's form this season will remain a key factor and fans will eagerly anticipate what further milestones the Egyptian may still achieve as the season progresses.
