According to reports from Spain, Real Madrid are willing to sell Rodrygo this summer with Liverpool being one of the clubs interested.

Spanish outlet Diario AS, as cited by LFC Transfer Room's Twitter account, has reported that Real Madrid are willing to sell the 21-year-old to a Premier League club this summer.

The report also claims that Madrid would want £34m for Rodrygo to help balance the books, with the expected arrivals of Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland this summer.

AS also say that Liverpool are interested in signing the Brazilian this summer. The Reds have apparently been tracking the 21-year-old for some time now and they were trying to sign him in 2019 from Santos before he joined Real Madrid.

Anfield Watch Verdict

Real Madrid signed Rodrygo for £40m in 2019 from Brazilian side Santos FC but unfortunately for the Spanish side, he hasn't lived up to his hype.

The Brazilian has played 95 games for Madrid, scoring 11 goals and getting 18 assists. This season alone, Rodrygo has played 36 games, scoring only two times and getting seven assists in all competitions.

Even though some Madrid fans might classify him as a 'flop', Rodrygo is only 21-years-old and with the correct coach and teammates to take him under their wing, he could still become an unbelievable player.

The Brazilian can play on the left and right wing, something that we know Liverpool look for when they sign forward players.

Rodrygo's price is also in the range of what Liverpool like to spend for a forward player, similar to Diogo Jota and Luis Diaz's fees.

If the Reds were to sign him, he would come into a great environment with a fair few of his countrymen, Alisson, Fabinho and Roberto Firmino - to help him settle in.

If Liverpool have been scouting him for years then they'll have a lot of data on the young Brazilian, and if he fits into the squad perfectly then you can guarantee that Jurgen Klopp and Julian Ward will be in the race for his signature.
