While Trent Alexander-Arnold's contract situation remains unresolved, the race to sign the right-back phenomenon is seriously hotting up.

On January 1st 2025, should Liverpool not have a signed new contract on their desk, clubs from around the world will begin negotiations to secure the services of one of the biggest talents in Europe.

While Real Madrid's interest in Trent has been reported extensively, it now seems that German side Bayern Munich could be interested in making a move.

This is according to Give Me Sport, who have been front and centre of Real Madrid's interest in the 25-year-old.

Following recent reports of Trent's highly criticised desire to improve his defensive game under Arne Slot, to become 'a defender attackers fear coming up against', we have seen a notable upturn in his performances, where the right back has been almost faultless.

Alongside this, despite winning everything he can at club level with Liverpool, the Scouser is yearning for more trophies in the near future, wherever he ends up.

Options abroad for Alexander-Arnold

As Daniel Carvajal heads towards the end of his career with Real Madrid, while Bayern Munich look to potentially sell on on Alfonso Davies, Liverpool find themselves with plenty of different suitors for Trent.

Should Liverpool manage to keep hold of their vice-captain, it will keep alive Trent's desire to one day captain Liverpool, following in the footsteps of his hero Steven Gerrard.

However, if negotiations collapse, then Real Madrid could make a move for him, or should Bayern Munich prove successful, then Madrid could pounce on securing Davies' services.

And this complex merry-go-round of transfers may also rely on Virgil van Dijk's contract negotiations, as Trent's captaincy dream could be sidelined if Van Dijk were to extend.

One thing is for certain, Liverpool will need to act fast if they are to eliminate the possibility of all of this mess, otherwise they will be subject to transfer carnage for each of Mohamed Salah, Van Dijk and Alexander-Arnold, while Reds fans are left heartbroken.
