Roy Keane praises Liverpool-linked Bukayo Saka

Former Manchester United midfielder Roy Keane has labelled Bukayo Saka a 'special talent' with Liverpool linked with the Arsenal player at the moment.

Saka is seen as one of the future stars of English football and certainly looks to be progressing nicely with him becoming a leading light at Arsenal under Mikel Arteta.

Liverpool, then, are right to be interested in him with Ian McGarry going as far to suggest that the Reds would like to sign him if the chance presented itself.

Whether that happens or not remains to be seen, but it is clear that he has a lot of respect for his abilities already, with Keane among those impressed with what he has seen so far from him.

Speaking to ITV Sport over the weekend, the Irishman said:

“He can play for any of the big teams in England and in Europe.

“I think he is a special talent.

“He has that ability to beat a man and make something happen. When he speaks as well, he seems a very humble kid, so he has a chance to become a great, great player. He has that talent.”

Anfield Watch Verdict

Arsenal will want to keep him at the Emirates but they need to be playing in the Champions League and challenging for major honours in order to keep players of his calibre at the club, and they will know that.

They're in the hunt for the top four this year but if they miss out then they run the risk of losing a player like Saka, who is only seemingly heading one way as a footballer.

Liverpool appear to be interested, then, and it just remains to be seen what happens next.
