Pundit Danny Mills has given his verdict on Borussia Dortmund midfielder and reported Liverpool target Jude Bellingham.

The 44-year-old believes that the Englishman is ready to play in the Premier League.

Mills said that Bellingham possesses all the traits to become a top player in England's best division of football.

The former Manchester City defender further implied that a move to Liverpool would be ideal for the midfielder.

“Jude Bellingham is ready to fit in the Premier League now,” Mills told Football Insider.

“He’s clearly a fantastic athlete as much as anything else and that’s what you need. He’s also got great technical ability as well.

“He’s a fantastic player and without a doubt, there will be plenty of suitors.

“It will be ultimately up to Jude Bellingham and what he decides to do because he’ll have plenty of options.

“That could be staying at Dortmund for another year and play regularly in the run-up to the World Cup or make a move to somewhere like Liverpool.”

Anfield Watch Verdict

We would love to see Liverpool sign Bellingham. The midfielder is a top talent.

Bellingham has scored three goals and registered six assists in 21 Bundesliga appearances this season.

The Englishman has also been averaging a WhoScored player rating of 7.27 across the 2021-22 Bundesliga campaign.

However, Bellingham will not come cheap. The 18-year-old's contract does not expire until the summer of 2025.

Bellingham possesses a current market value of €75 million. But, there is no denying that he would be worth every penny.

Due to Bellingham's age, he could play for Liverpool's first-team for a number of years. The Reds do have an ageing midfield.

The likes of Jordan Henderson, Thiago Alcantara and James Milner are all aged over 30, so signing a young midfielder would be a good move by the club.

But, only time will tell if Liverpool are to make a move for Bellingham.
