Cody Gakpo named as of potential interest to Liverpool
In a recent article from The Athletic, potential new attacking recruits for Liverpool have been explored with a number of names being suggested.
Liverpool have a top attack that has the likes of Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino, Sadio Mane and Diogo Jota all available to it, whilst the likes of Divock Origi, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Takumi Minamino can all come in.
However, one eye is needed on the future now as those players will not be with the Reds forever, and you don't want to leave it too late before looking for signings.
The Athletic has assessed potential options, then, and put forward PSV forward Cody Gakpo as a player who could fit the bill.
Anfield Watch Verdict
Gakpo is a talented young forward that Liverpool could well be wise in taking a look at.
The 22-year-old has six goals and 10 assists in 13 Eredivisie games so far this season and that is some going no matter what league you play in.
Indeed, he is a player of considerable talent and could potentially be a successor to someone like Mane or Salah.
