Liverpool assistant manager Pep Lijnders has offered his thoughts on how the continued absence of Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane might be impacting the side.

The Reds head to Arsenal tomorrow night in the EFL Cup as they look to win at the Emirates and seal passage to the final at Wembley Stadium, with Chelsea awaiting the victor.

Liverpool are going to have to progress without the help of both Salah and Mane, though, with the pair still at AFCON.

Lijnders, though, thinks that the Reds are doing okay without them and says that we have lots of attacking options and tools available to us to get the result we all want:

Anfield Watch Verdict

It's always going to be tougher for the Reds when players like Mane and Salah are missing but there is still enough in the side to get a result against Arsenal.

Other players need to step up and be counted, and they can make themselves heroes if they do.

As Lijnders says, we've done okay in matches before without them, and we just need to do so again.
