Liverpool forward Roberto Firmino has opened up on the club's start to the 2022-23 Premier League campaign.

The Reds have only won two of their opening six games of the top-flight season. But, Firmino is optimistic for the remainder of the campaign.

As quoted by AW on Twitter, he told Sky Sports the following: "Obviously it wasn't the start we wanted, we drew some games, we lost one but we haven't lost since that game and we have tried to improve in training, give our all every day and eliminate these mistakes.

"It's a long season, there's a lot of games ahead of us and we're not gonna give up until the final match day."

Anfield Watch Verdict

We love Firmino's outlook. The reality is, there is still plenty of time left for Liverpool to get their season back on track.

The Reds are a world-class team. There is a reason why Liverpool challenged for the quadruple last season.

Jurgen Klopp has plenty of quality players at his disposal. In regards to Firmino, he has had a solid start to the season.

The forward has scored three goals and registered three assists in six appearances for Liverpool's first-team.

Firmino has also averaged a WhoScored player rating of 7.36 in the early parts of the campaign.

Hopefully the Brazil international can keep up his good form and propel Liverpool towards a trophy this season.

Only time will tell if that is to be the case.
