Nike have released their final ever Liverpool collab and it’s incredible
This will never happen again. Quite literally.
Nike have dropped their final ever collab with Liverpool ahead of ending their five-year partnership with the Reds at the end of the season.
It's been a fruitful relationship for Liverpool, with Nike designing some iconic kits and they've probably saved the best collab until the very last drop.
Liverpool teased that their might be a new Air Max themed launch during the Merseyside derby last month where eagle-eyed fans will have spotted a stunningly patterned black warm-up kit adorned with the iconic Air Max logo worn by the club's players ahead of the game.
Since then, we've all been waiting to see more details of the potential release and now the drop has finally come.
To say the wait has been worth it would be an understatement.
Alongside some magnificently detailed apparel Nike have also dropped a special edition Liverpool x Nike Air Max 95. These shoes have a cult status in the city of Liverpool.
Ever since Nike released the first pair in 1995 they have become a sought-after property particularly among streetwear enthusiasts and this new pair is a throwback to that classic era while also bringing a fresh, updated look.
Decorated with the iconic Air Bubbles in the midsole, the trainers are in a black, gym red and smoke grey Liverpool colourway, complete with intricate details about the club.
This is not an in your face collaboration. Liverpool could have decorated these trainers with their club badge and made it obvious that this was theirs, but instead they have gone for a much subtler and slick approach.
At first glance you wouldn't even be able to tell that these are Liverpool trainers making them pretty much appropriate for any occasion, which is very fitting because the Air Max shoes are one of the most versatile pieces in the Nike catalogue. You can literally wear them with anything.
At a closer glance, though Nike have included some very clever details that still make this a unique Liverpool inspired pair. Behind the tongue of the shoe, you will see the the iconic Liver Bird logo. Meanwhile, the insole has 'You'll Never Walk Alone' stitched into it.
It's pretty much a must have. In years to come, these will become an iconic and rare pair that will probably cost you thousands of pounds second hand.
You'll have to act quick to buy them because they could sell out very quickly. To do so you can buy a pair (or two) using this link here.
And if you're not a huge fan of the trainers, there are plenty of other cool streetwear that Nike have dropped with this release featuring the Air Max brand that might be for you/
There's the stunning training shirt worn by the players at Anfield, a black bomber jacket, tailored tracksuit pants, and a clean cream t-shirt that comes in various patterns and in short and long sleeves.
Be sure to check these out as well!
