Newcastle all but confirm Alexander Isak departure
The dream of most Liverpool supporters is to see Alexander Isak in a red shirt next season and it's looking a lot more likely.
Isak is one of the club's main summer transfer targets to reinforce Arne Slot's options in attack. Although he is not alone.

Anfield Watch exclusively revealed that the Reds are also exploring the possibility of signing Julian Alvarez, who they also wanted to bring to the club last summer.
It is expected to be a season of change this summer. Anfield Watch exclusively revealed that the likes of Diogo Jota, Darwin Nunez and Luis Diaz will all be up for sale.
That leaves the door open for Liverpool to make a mega investment. The only question is who will they look to sign and how much for?

That is moot at this stage but what is clear is that Newcastle pretty much expect Isak to be on the move.
Newcastle all but confirm Isak's departure
The Magpies will be reluctant to sell Isak considering how brilliant he has been for them this season.
But they will also recognise a big money sale might be necessary in order for them to bolster the squad without breaching the Premier League's Profit and Sustainability Rules (PSR).
And with that in mind multiple reports have now claimed that Newcastle are already making plans for Isak's inevitable departure.
Calciomercato in Italy has claimed that Newcastle are considering a move for Randal Kolo-Muani from Paris Saint Germain, who is on loan at Juventus until the end of the season, as a replacement for Isak.
The French forward is not the only one on Newcastle's shortlist either.
TEAMtalk has reported that Newcastle also have Liam Delap and Viktor Gyokeres as replacements for Isak and are monitoring their situations amid Liverpool's interest in their star striker.
All of these reports would suggest Newcastle are not exactly confident about keeping Isak.
The fact that they are frantically exploring options in the market pretty much all but confirms that they expect Isak to leave in the summer.
Of course, that doesn't mean that he will join Liverpool or a move comes to fruition. There are transfer fees to be agreed and wages to be struck.

So many obstacles are still in front of Liverpool to get this deal over the line but Newcastle's acceptance that they could lose Isak is definitely a very promising sign.

LFC can't even keep the players they've got let alone sign players who will have options. LFC won't be his first choice so I'll believe this when I see it happen.
