Mohamed Salah's 10 best goals for Liverpool

Mohamed Salah joined another exclusive club on Saturday, becoming just the eight player in history to contribute 200 goals and assists for one club in the Premier League.

He joined a list containing the likes of Steven Gerrard, Wayne Rooney, and Sergio Aguero, achieving the milestone in fewer games (223) than any player except Thierry Henry (206).

In the wake of yet another Salah record, why not have a looking back at the 31-year-old’s top 10 strikes for Liverpool.

Number 50 at St Mary’s (2019)

Not the only landmark goal on this list, Salah reached half a century of Premier League goals in a brilliant counter attack away to Southampton in April 2019.

A much-needed goal to secure all three points as Jurgen Klopp’s side ran Manchester City down right until the final day of the season.

The record-breaker (2023)

The goal that sent Salah to the top of Liverpool’s all-time Premier League top scorer list was also in one of the most memorable matches in the club’s history.

Salah grabbed his second goal in Liverpool’s biggest every victory over Manchester United- a 7-0 win at Anfield last season, ending in the removal of his shirt… of course.

Tottenham stunner (2018)

In his record-breaking debut season for the Reds, this was one of Salah’s stand-out goals, as Liverpool drew 2-2 to Tottenham Hotspur in February 2018.

Beautifully slaloming his way through the Spurs defence, this goal has become a trademark for the Reds' Egyptian King.

Manchester United clincher (2020)

The goal that ended in chants of ‘we’re going to win the league!’ has to be included on this list.

Yet again it was against Manchester United as goalkeeper Alisson smacked the ball down the field to Salah to clinch a 2-0 victory in January 2020. Let's not forget the Brazilian's celebrations after...

Puskas winner (2017)

Salah became the first Liverpool player ever to win the FIFA Puskas Award with this beauty against Everton in the snow back in December 2017.

The winger's curling effort soared into the top right-hand corner, leaving Jordan Pickford helpless.

Watford wonder goal (2021)

Not the first time Salah scored a wonder goal against Watford, but this one was arguably the best.

He flicks, drags, pulls back the ball all in the space of a few seconds before curing one in the far corner.

You little dancer...

Roma return (2018)

Another favourite from Salah’s debut season for Liverpool came in the Champions League semi-final, under the lights at Anfield, against his former club.

On the edge of the box, the Egyptian looks up and sees future teammate Alisson before curling an astonishing effort over his head and in of the bar.

The Brazilian goalkeeper couldn’t stomach the chances of that happening again, so joined Liverpool just a few months later.

Impossible angle (2019)

Another Champions League effort, and one of the most astonishing on the list.

After burning his man down the wing, and poking the ball past the keeper, Salah – almost at the touchline – somehow adjusts his body while sprinting to finish calmly from a near impossible angle.

How on earth?

Manchester City masterclass (2021)

Joao Cancelo, gone. Bernardo Silva floored. Aymeric Laporte, embarrassed.

This goal is a work of art. Like his stunners against Tottenham and Watford, but even better.

Just watch this and keep watching because I can’t take my eyes off it.

Chelsea dagger (2019)

A personal favourite.

After a poor first half, Liverpool needed a spark to keep their title chase going.

While it was actually Sadio Mane who scored first to put the Reds in front, this game will always be remembered for what the Egyptian King did two minutes later, as he leathered a rocket into the far corner past the diving Kepa.

What a hit.
