Mo Salah boasts an incredible record for Liverpool against Man United. Here’s all you need to know about it.

Liverpool face Manchester United in the FA Cup today - an enormous step in their quest to win four trophies this season. Jurgen Klopp and co. will go into it with confidence, largely because Mohamed Salah is fit to play.

Salah boasts a phenomenal record for Liverpool against Man United and will hope to expand on it today. But just how good is it?

Here's all you need to know.

Mo Salah goal record vs Man United

Mo Salah has faced Man United 13 times in his career, all for Liverpool. He's scored 12 times across those games, averaging very close to a goal per game.

In fact, the Egyptian has scored more goals against United than any other team. It's one more than he's managed against Manchester City, the second most, but in eight fewer games.

Those goals work out to be 10 in 12 Premier League games, with another two coming in a lone FA Cup tie back in 2021.

Of course, Salah didn't score in his latest outing against United - ending a run of six straight games against them with at least one goal.

And while we're here, it's worth adding that Salah also has four assists against the rivals. That's a total 16 goals and assists in 13 games - incredible.

Mo Salah Head-to-Head vs Man United

Mo Salah's head-to-head record against Man United isn't quite as good as his goal record. Still, it's a very positive one.

He's won six of his 13 meetings with them, drawing another four. It means he's lost on three occasions, for those not keeping count.

Importantly, one of those defeats was the sole FA Cup fixture. Like today, that was at Old Trafford and Salah scored twice - United bagged three, however, to claim the win.

Mo Salah's best game vs Man United

Two standouts here but we'll go for Salah's display at Old Trafford back in late 2021. Liverpool won the game 5-0 thanks to a magnificent performance by their star forward.

Salah scored a hattrick and in doing so, made quite a bit of history. It was only the second time a Liverpool player scored three times in a fixture at Old Trafford, while it was also the first hattrick by an away player at the stadium since Ronaldo did it for Real Madrid in 2003.

This was also, quite unbelievably, the first Premier League hattrick by an away player at Old Trafford. And to top it off, he got an assist, too.

This is Liverpool's biggest win away at their rivals and Salah was the player on the day. Another like this and the Reds will sail into the FA Cup semi-finals.
