Mo Salah responds to CONTROVERSIAL Liverpool contract offer
Mo Salah has responded to a new contract offer from Liverpool. The Reds do want to re-sign the Egyptian.
Mo Salah, as things stand, will leave Liverpool at the end of the season. His contract expires, after all, and the Reds are yet to agree a new one with their star man.

Salah signed this contract back in 2022 and even that renewal wasn't straightforward. Liverpool were very hesitant to pay enormous money (around £350k each week) to a player who was turning 30.
Well, Salah is now 32 and will want a similar contract. Liverpool's hesitance has turned into pure reluctance, resulting in the forward publicly admitting there had been no offer from the club by December.
His form this season essentially forces Liverpool's hand, though. Salah is the world's best player right now, putting up ridiculous numbers for goals and assists and leading the club to the top of both the Premier League and UEFA Champions League.
And it appears Liverpool felt they needed to offer him something.

Mo Salah rejects Liverpool contract offer
Masrawy exclusively reports that Mo Salah has rejected a new contract offer from Liverpool. That offer is a downgrade on his current terms.
Essentially, Liverpool want to get Salah to reduce his salary in order to get two or three years out of a new deal. We imagine the bigger the cut, the longer the deal.
It's one that will prove controversial, given the club are asking their star player to cut his wages here. That's despite a magnificent campaign, too.
But Salah has said no. He won't accept Liverpool's offer, presumably because he doesn't want to take a cut in salary.
The hope will be that he doesn't want to take such a cut in pay. It seems incredibly unlikely that Liverpool will renew his deal on the current terms, so finding a middle ground is the only realistic way forward.
And there is still time in which to do that. It doesn't appear likely that Salah signs with anyone else before the end of the season, for one, leaving Liverpool with a couple of months to keep talking.
The longer this goes on, however, the more likely Salah's exit becomes. We're keeping our fingers crossed that an agreement can be reached.
