Mo Salah new contract: World’s best player is DESPERATE to play for Reds
Liverpool are by far and away one of the most prestigious clubs in the world.
However, it has been a while since they had the world's best player playing for the club.

And I'm talking about someone who is unequivocally and by all numbers considered quite simply without a shadow of a doubt the world's best player. Not someone we as fans consider the best.
Steven Gerrard was up there. So was perhaps Luis Suarez. But they were top five territory even in their heyday, never an outright world's best.
The last time that happened was perhaps Michael Owen, who won the Ballon d'Or and was the last Liverpool player to earn the accolade in 2001, more than 20 years ago.
Those years have been long and hard but now there's a player who is at the top of the game and who is desperate to play for Liverpool.
Why Mo Salah is the world's best player
That player is, of course, Mohamed Salah. The Egyptian is currently the top league goalscorer in the top five European leagues on 27. Only Robert Lewandowski comes particularly close with 25.
But he's also the leader for assists. Salah's 17 is six ahead of Lamine Yamal who sits in second place. Liverpool's no.11 has been the dominant player in the league all season and no one in Europe matches him.
Salah has also became the first player in the history of the Premier League to reach 10 goals and 10 assists before Christmas has even begun. It's been a truly remarkable season.
On the pitch, there are no questions about it Salah is by far and away the best player in the world.
The question marks have been off the pitch. As insane as it sounds, his future at the club was not guaranteed this season. Even if he's been desperate to stay and continue playing for Liverpool.
Why Mo Salah is desperate to play for Liverpool
Asked about whether there were any contract updates over the course of the campaign, Salah gave an exciting response for fans by deciding to stay very low-key on the subject.
It's a stark contrast to his outburst against Southampton last month, when he went out of his way to speak to journalists in the mixed zone outside of St Mary's earlier this season, something he has never really done in the past.
In that interview, Salah made it clear he's desperate to stay at Anfield. It's never really happened before that the best player on the planet has been so eager to sign with Liverpool.
But he has been - and now he finally has. Liverpool announced on Friday that Salah has signed a new contract and will remain at Anfield for two more years.
