Man United 2-2 Liverpool: Mo Salah breaks THREE records at Old Trafford

Mohamed Salah rescued Liverpool from a potentially season-defining defeat as he slotted home an equalising penalty against Manchester United on Sunday.

It was a game that the Reds looked in complete control of at half-time, with Luis Diaz's 23rd minute strike giving them a 1-0 going into the break.

However, in a freak goal to concede, Jarell Quansah blindly gave the ball to Bruno Fernandes on the halfway line, who went on to lob an out-of-position Caoimhin Kelleher to provide an equaliser for United, completely out of the blue.

This is sparked the beginning of Liverpool's capitulation, with their woes compiled by Kobbie Mainoo twenty minutes later, who curled into the far corner to put the hosts in front.

Jurgen Klopp's saving grace would come in the form of super sub Harvey Elliott, who danced into the box to win Liverpool a late penalty.

And with the pressure on his shoulders, Salah tucked the ball away to level terms, making up for repeated wasted chances throughout the game to keep Liverpool level on points with league leaders Arsenal.

Despite an overall mixed display from the Egyptian, he left Old Trafford with a trifecta of records under his belt.

Mo's favourite foe

Firstly, Salah has now scored the most goals against Man United in Premier League history compared to any other player.

Notching his 11th from the spot, he overtakes Newcastle legend Alan Shearer's tally of 10.

Secondly, he has now scored six league goals at Old Trafford - the most of any visiting player in the competition's history.

To reach this feat, he pips legendary Liverpool captain and notorious Old Trafford camera-kisser Steven Gerrard to the crown, who sits at five goals.

And, finally, the Liverpool star is the first visiting player to score in four consecutive league away games against Man United.

Today may not have been his or Liverpool's finest hour - or 45 minutes to be exact - but still makes the trip back to Merseyside with his phenomenal goalscoring record against United in tact.
