Michail Antonio continues feud with Liverpool fans after title claim
Michail Antonio has reignited his feud with Liverpool supporters after claiming he desperately doesn't want the Reds to win the Premier League title this season.
The West Ham United forward already annoyed Liverpool fans earlier this campaign when he claimed that the Hammers would finish above the Reds in the Premier League.
His comments came back to bite him fairly quickly, Liverpool beating West Ham 3-1 at Anfield shortly afterwards, with Antonio spurning a wonderful headed opportunity early in the match.
The Reds have also gone on to beat West Ham 5-1 in the Carabao Cup quarter final since, albeit Antonio was absent for the clash, while Jurgen Klopp's men already sit 11 points above the Irons in the league.
Antonio received significant backlash from supporters for his comments and the Jamaica international is set to bear the brunt of Liverpool fans following his latest remarks.
Speaking on his Footballers' Football Podcast, Antonio stated: "I don't want Liverpool to win the league because you Liverpool fans are still in my inbox.
"Get lost! I'm saying it with chest. I don't want Liverpool to win the league! Come for me! Arsenal get it. Man City, get it. That's all I have to say about that!"
Antonio's obsession with Liverpool seems a little odd, but his latest comments are sure to rile up the club's fanbase.
Liverpool don't play West Ham again until late April, with the Reds having only lost one of their last 16 games.
