Arsenal will welcome Liverpool to the Emirates Stadium tonight. The Premier League clash will kick-off at 20:15 local time.

The Reds go into the game having defeated Brighton and Hove Albion 2-0 at the Amex Stadium last weekend. Liverpool have won their past eight top-flight fixtures. They sit in second-place on the Premier League table.

Arsenal on the other hand are coming off a 2-0 victory over Leicester City, which took place at the Emirates Stadium last weekend.

The Gunners are having a decent season. They sit in fourth-place on the Premier League table.

Key Battle:

If Liverpool can nullify Arsenal's attack, then they should win the game comfortably.

The Reds have played against the Gunners on three separate occasions this season (Premier League and League Cup semi-finals).

Arsenal have failed to find the back of the net in all of those games. Liverpool on the other hand have scored six goals. It is quite clear where tonight's fixture will be won and lost.

Team News:

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has hinted that Mohamed Salah is likely to feature against Arsenal. The Egyptian international picked up a knee injury against Brighton.

But, going by Klopp's comments, the Reds have nothing to worry about in the long-term regarding Salah.

As quoted by Football London, the German said the following during his most recent press conference: "Mo (Salah) is a tough cookie. We were quite happy and lucky. Swollen, painful, today less so. Got a message before the presser he's ready to train. We'll see how that looks."

In terms of Arsenal's team news, Takehiro Tomiyasu's calf injury could keep him sidelined once more. The full-back has missed the last six games for the Gunners.

However, Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has not ruled Tomiyasu out just yet.

“Tomi is the only one that's still there in contention (to miss the game)," the 39-year-old told arsenal.com.

"We have been trying to push him, but with the handbrake a little bit because we need to be careful as we don’t want to get another injury with him. We don’t know (if tonight is too soon). Let’s see how he trains."

Previous Premier League Meeting:

Liverpool battered Arsenal 4-0 at Anfield back in November 2021. Sadio Mane gave the Reds the lead after 39 minutes.

However, Liverpool came to life in the second half. Diogo Jota, Mohamed Salah and Takumi Minamino all found the back of the net during the last 45 minutes of play.

With that being the case, Klopp was delighted with his team's performance during the second half.

The 54-year-old told the club's official website the following post-game: "I think after half-time we had a really impressive phase and controlled the game again.

"It was a mix of a very mature performance and a very exciting (performance), with very, very exciting moments: very exciting goals, great counter-press, great high-press, it was really good.

"And then finishing the situations off and it’s an impressive result, no doubt about that."

Prediction:

We fully expect Liverpool to get the job done against Arsenal tonight. The Reds clearly have the wood over the Gunners.

But, if Liverpool are slightly off against Arsenal, then there could be trouble. Arteta's side are more than capable, which is why they sit in fourth-place on the Premier League table.

But, Klopp is not an arrogant person. Therefore, we don't expect Liverpool to be complacent heading into the match.

Salah's likely involvement is also a huge boost for the Reds. The winger has scored 20 goals and registered 10 assists in 26 Premier League appearances for Liverpool this season.

A win for Klopp's side will take them within one-point of league leaders Manchester City.

But, only time will tell what the result will be between the Reds and the Gunners.
