Mo Salah's decision finally MADE after crunch Liverpool talks
Even by Mo Salah’s standards this season so far is something special.
His 34 goal involvements in all competitions are unprecedented for a Premier League player, with his 11 league assists so far already being his third-highest personal tally ever behind his 13 in the 2021/22 season.

Many have speculated how Salah has managed to find a level that is untouchable even for him.
The two most accepted theories are that new head coach Arne Slot is some kind of miracle man, or the fact it is a contract year for the Egyptian.
Being fair to Slot, he has achieved a level from Liverpool’s squad that many of these players have never reached. Ryan Gravenberch, Ibrahima Konate, Curtis Jones and Cody Gakpo are all having the best seasons of their lives, meaning Salah following suit shouldn’t be too surprising.
But earning a new contract is also a perfectly understandable reason for this. And amid all the speculation it seems Salah may be inching closer to staying.
All roads lead to Salah staying at Liverpool
Peter O’Rourke of Football Insider has now stated that it would be a “massive shock” if Salah were to leave Liverpool.
Speaking on Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, O’Rourke suggested a pre-contract agreement elsewhere for the Egyptian would be a seismic plot twist and that there is growing confidence at the club that they will be able to retain their talismanic right-winger.
It’s not done and dusted yet - contract length is still believed to be a sticking point - but we seem to be edging ever-closer to the announcement all Reds want.
It is the logical decision at this point. Even at 32-years old, Salah is the calibre of player that is going to be impossible to replace. Liverpool need to have a succession plan ready when the time comes and it is clear that wasn’t this season.
There’s probably less than five players who could realistically be expected to replace the Egyptian King outright, all of whom would take the GDP of a small nation to lure away from their clubs. It is more likely Liverpool will have to replace the attacking output by committee, with rumours of Omar Marmoush, Joao Pedro and Rayan Cherki matching this idea.
Even if Salah’s level does drop off in the next year, even half his contributions would still lead the entire team.
