Red Devils forward Marcus Rashford could miss Manchester United's Premier League clash against Liverpool at Old Trafford on Sunday, according to the club's official website.

The 23-year-old suffered a dead leg against Atalanta in the Champions League mid-week. Rashford had to depart Old Trafford as a result.

However, Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is hopeful that Rashford will be fit come Sunday afternoon.

Solskjaer told the club's official website the following: “I don’t know [if Rashford will be fit for the game against Liverpool]. I hope so and I think so.

“It was a dead leg and sometimes it can take longer than what you want. But if we treat it well, he should be okay.”

ANFIELD WATCH VERDICT

Rashford is a good footballer. The forward has scored 90 goals and registered 56 assists in 273 appearances for Manchester United's first-team.

Therefore, Rashford's absence would no doubt aid Liverpool's chances of claiming three points come Sunday.

In saying that, the Reds will still have to play well if they are to secure a victory over Manchester United.

The Red Devils possess some top players such as Cristiano Ronaldo, Bruno Fernandes and Paul Pogba.

Therefore, the Reds will have to be near their best to secure three points at Old Trafford.
