Two of Manchester City's most important players look to be unavailable for their trip to Wembley on Saturday against Liverpool.

According to RMC Sport, as cited by LFC Transfer Room's Twitter account, after being substituted against Atletico Madrid yesterday due to injuries, Manchester City duo Kevin De Bruyne and Kyle Walker will miss the semi-final of the FA Cup against Liverpool this weekend.

Speaking after the Champions League game yesterday, as cited by Anfield Watch's Twitter account, Pep Guardiola said that his side are 'in big trouble' when he was asked about the injuries to KDB and Walker.

"We are in big trouble, so we can't forget we played three days ago, travelled, come here, have a lot of injuries now."

Anfield Watch Verdict

Liverpool's tie against Manchester City in the Premier League last weekend was a display of footballing brilliance with Walker and De Bruyne being two of the standout players in the game.

You never wish injuries on opposition players but it would be a lie to say that this isn't going to be a big boost for Liverpool on Saturday.

De Bruyne ran the game for City and he was a major threat throughout the whole 90 minutes, while Kyle Walker was causing all sorts of issues on the right-hand side for Guardiola's side last weekend.

These injuries are yet to be confirmed by the club but with other news outlets reporting that the pair will be undergoing scans today, it's not looking good for Man City.

This will be a huge opportunity for Jurgen Klopp's side to reach another final. City only made two changes to the starting 11 against Atletico that played against us on Sunday and they're likely to play a similar team on Saturday at Wembley.

Their game against Atletico Madrid yesterday was also very tough and would've taken a lot out of Pep's players, physically and mentally.

Hopefully, Liverpool can take advantage of this and secure their spot in the FA Cup final this season.
