Man United make IMMEDIATE Ruben Amorim mistake and Liverpool want to capitalise
Manchester United are immediately making a mistake with Ruben Amorim - and Liverpool want to capitalise. The Reds would need to spend £50m, however.
Manchester United are on the brink of hiring Ruben Amorim to replace Erik Ten Hag. He's a name certainly known to Liverpool fans - at one stage, he looked nailed on to be the Reds' next manager.
Instead, Liverpool rejected Amorim and hired Arne Slot. There aren't any Reds complaining about one, certainly.

Though, Amorim is still having a magnificent season. He's got Sporting CP flying, enough so that United view him as the latest man to fix their problems.
But we do believe they're making an immediate mistake. It's one that Liverpool reportedly hope to take advantage of.
Liverpool want Gyokeres
Sky Germany's Florian Plettenberg reports that Manchester United are not in the running to sign Viktor Gyokeres. The big Swede has been a revelation under Amorim at Sporting but it appears they're not after him.
Now, that might be because of big spends on Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee. United have invested in those forwards and don't want to give up on them just yet.
But it feels like a mistake to ignore Gyokeres. They know he works under Amorim, he's excelled in England before, and he's one of Europe's in-form strikers. In fact, having Amorim as your boss would provide United with an incredible advantage in any race.
Not that we're complaining. Plettenberg claims Liverpool are in that race and that Gyokeres can leave Sporting for around £50m.
A summer transfer is 'planned' from Sporting's perspective, though not necessarily to Liverpool. Manchester City, Chelsea and Arsenal all like Gyokeres, too and are 'actively' pursuing him.
Liverpool, then, still face a fight to sign the striker - but United's lack of interest is certainly a mistake the Reds can take advantage of.
