Manchester City have reportedly entered sensational talks to sign a player who has been lauded as 'unbelievable' from Liverpool.

This transfer window just keeps taking more and more twists for Liverpool. So far, the focus has been on Liverpool bringing in Martin Zubimendi which looked imminent at one point last week.

But this week those talks broke down with Zubimendi, opting to stay at Real Sociedad instead. Now Liverpool's attention has turned elsewhere.

Although it seems the club isn't just focusing on arrivals but departures as well this summer with one of Liverpool's players even reportedly entering talks with Manchester City.

Luis Diaz to Manchester City latest amid sensational transfer claim

Luis Diaz caught the eye in Arne Slot's first game at Anfield against Sevilla at the weekend and even scored a sensational goal.

The Liverpool winger hasn't quite gotten going in a red shirt so far. However, he is highly rated at the club and has been lauded by his teammates in the past. He was described as an 'unbelievable' player by Conor Bradley in an interview with LFCTV last season.

But he's also been in Barcelona's transfer radar with Liverpool reportedly open to listening to offers for the Colombian winger.

And it seems Barcelona are not the only club interested in Diaz. In the latest sensational claim in Spanish media, it has been suggested that Diaz has agreed a five year deal with Manchester City.

That is according to El Chiringuito TV who claim Manchester City are willing to pay €70m which is roughly £60m for Diaz's services. Although the report does not suggest whether Liverpool would be open to a move, the fact that they claim Diaz has agreed a five year deal with City would suggest this is a move that could happen if the report is true.

Although it remains to be seen how much credence there is in the report with The Athletic's Manchester City correspondent reporting that there is nothing in the Diaz to City rumours on his X account.
