Liverpool’s four-man shortlist to REPLACE Dominik Szoboszlai
Dominik Szoboszlai is a brilliant footballer and he has been hugely important to Liverpool's success this season.
But for the majority of the time he has been playing out of position. The Hungarian is not a no.10. He's been forced to receive the ball with his back to goal which is not when he thrives.

Szoboszlai would be served a lot better if he played deeper in a no.8 position where he can received the ball with space and runners ahead of him and spray passes, left, right and centre.
This is what he excels at doing for the Hungarian national team and this role change would suit him the best.
The truth is that Arne Slot needs a different type of profile to suit the no.10 role and for that Liverpool have to dip into the transfer market.
And there are three options the club have in the market who could be well-suited for that position.

Anfield Watch takes a look at the potential shortlist.
Morgan Rogers
The Aston Villa man is far more comfortable playing further forward. He's capable of operating as a left-winger as well and he has contributed with 13 goals and 11 assists for his side this season.
Villa though have to contend with PSR issues which opens the door for Liverpool to swoop in. Only 22-years-old and homegrown, Rogers would make perfect sense for the Reds.
He's quick and he can run in between the channels and link-up well with the likes of Salah, Gakpo and the Reds' other attacking options.
The only question mark about Rogers would be Villa's asking price. They won't want to let him go on the cheap and with Liverpool having to spend a lot of money this summer, they might just be priced out.
But on paper, Rogers would be a nice fit. Someone who could deliver all the same qualities as Szoboszlai but offer more of a goal threat, while allowing the Hungarian to flourish playing behind him alongside Ryan Gravenberch.
Eberechi Eze
He'll be 27-years-old in the summer so he's not necessarily a typical FSG signing but Liverpool would be getting Eze in the prime of his powers.
He's already got 17 goal contributions for Crystal Palace this season, which is some feat. It's the same amount of goal contributions he got for Palace in all competitions last season as well.
Eze is full of tricks and he loves taking players on. He's good at operating in tight spaces and has exquisite vision to find a pass and cut through resilient defences like a knife through butter.
It feels like now is the time for him to make a move to a top club having established himself as a regular England international and Liverpool could be an ideal destination.
The Reds will need more homegrown players and Eze would fit Slot's possession style football like a glove.
This is a transfer well worth keeping an eye on.
Charles De Ketelaere
Capable of playing as a false no.9 as well, Charles De Ketelaere is another one to watch for Liverpool. He has a 99% similarity in his playing style to Szoboszlai according to SciSports and he has 22 goal contributions this season in all competitions for Atalanta.
He's recently turned 24-years-old and is really starting to enter his prime after a disappointing spell at AC Milan, incidentally the club actually signed him because they couldn't get Szoboszlai's transfer over the line.
De Ketelaere is tall at 1.92 metres but he's extremely technical and is very good at taking players on.
Full of speed and physicality he would flourish in that no.10 role at Liverpool because he is capable of playing with his back to goal and receiving the ball in deeper areas as well to make progressive runs forward and take players on.
The only question mark would be the cost with Atalanta having recently acquired him. The Italian side won't want to let him go on the cheap which means Liverpool might have to pay up.

Whether that is within FSG's means remains to be seen.
Georhiy Sudakov
The Ukranian is a bit more of a rogue option for Liverpool. At 22-years-old he's definitely ready to make the move away from Shakhtar Donetsk having been playing in the club's first team since the 2020/21 season.
He's played 132 games in total for Shakhtar and has established himself as a key part of Ukraine's senior national team.
This season Sudakov has 17 goal contributions in all competitions, including three in the Champions League this season.
It's his Champions League form that's interesting to look at. Since the 2022/23 season, he's made 20 appearances in the competition and has six goal contributions.
This doesn't seem like much but considering Shakhtar have just six wins from those 20 matches, Sudakov's output is not bad.
He's a midfielder full of bundles of energy and he's very technically gifted as well. He has a great vision and eye for a pass and he can drive at opponents if he needs to as well.
He's still yet to enter the prime of his career and if he's available for the right price, he would be a very smart choice for the Reds.

Rayan Cherki has to be the one choice, especially when we could sign him for as little £21 million. There also the likes of Morgan Gibbs-White, Mohammed Kudus, Kenan Yıldız, Álex Baena etc.
