Liverpool are deep in contract talks with Mo Salah and have an unexpected boost. And it comes from Saudi Arabia.

Liverpool have been dealing with Mo Salah speculation for years now. It's at fever pitch this season, though, with the Egyptian's contract expiring at the end of the campaign.

In fact, Salah can agree terms with a non-English club from January 1st: just two months from now. Isn't that terrifying?

Particularly of note is interest from Saudi Arabia. The Saudi Pro League is where the money is and they've long had an intense desire to bring in the Egyptian.

The Reds even rejected a record offer for their no.11 back in 2023. Now they could lose him for free.

But it appears they may have had a boost there.

Vinicius Jr. receives Saudi offer

One of the teams most linked with an offer for Mo Salah is Al-Hilal. They're one of the Saudi big-hitters and a clear landing place for Salah.

However, it appears they have a different name in mind for a 'star' attraction. FootMercato reports that an unprecedented offer has been put forward to Vinicius Jr, fresh off his Ballon d'Or disappointment.

The Saudi league quite clearly want to capitalise on the latter by luring the unsatisfied Brazilian away from Europe. They're attempting to do so with an all-time high yearly wage.

No figures are mentioned but it's suggested that Al-Hilal would offer more than any player has ever earned in order to land Vinicius.

In doing so, he would be their star signing of the summer and the limitations on foreign signings would make it more difficult for Salah to also land there. With his options that little bit more limited, Liverpool could consider that a boost.

Not to mention the fact that the league finding a brand new 'face' could limit their attention towards Salah. At the very least, it leaves them a little less concerned with signing the Reds' star man.

Again, it's a boost and one Liverpool should take in their contract talks.
