Conor Bradley set to pen new long-term Liverpool deal

Conor Bradley is ready to sign a three-year extension to his Liverpool contract, with the Northern Irishman set to remain a part of Jurgen Klopp's plans.

The Athletic's Caoimhe O'Neill reports that the youngster has agreed personal terms with the club, despite interest from other teams in the Premier league – as well as some lower down in the English football pyramid.

Bradley returned to Merseyside for Liverpool's pre-season off the back of an impressive loan spell with Bolton Wanderers, in which he was deployed as a marauding wing-back, scoring seven goals in 53 appearances as the club won the EFL Trophy.

The 20-year-old also won more than his fair share of personal accolades in 2022/23, picking up both Bolton's Supporters' and Players’ Player of the Year trophies, while he also shared the Young Player of the Year Award with goalkeeper James Trafford.

It is said that Jurgen Klopp is a massive fan of Bradley, who is certain to feature in the club's pre-season tour in Singapore and looks "increasing likely" to remain part of the Reds' first-team squad for the 2023/24 season.

The youngster's claim to be utilised as Trent Alexander-Arnold's understudy – or perhaps even alongside him, when the Reds' number 66 is deployed in midfield – is even stronger when considering James Milner's departure and Calvin Ramsay's confirmed loan spell to Preston North End.

Bradley — who made five first-team appearances for Liverpool in 2021/22 – has already impressed fans this summer with his performances in Liverpool's pre-season games in Germany.
