Liverpool's best stoppage-time winners under Jurgen Klopp in the Premier League

On Sunday, ten-man Liverpool snatched all three points from Eddie Howe's Newcastle United courtesy of two late strikes from substitute Darwin Nuñez.

The Uruguayan's 93rd-minute winner is just the latest to add to a growing file of dramatic late winners under Jurgen Klopp – a limbs-inducing collection that encapsulates why the Reds are labelled as 'mentality monsters'.

Here's a top five 90+ minute winners in the Premier League during Klopp's reign.

5. Liverpool 4-3 Tottenham Hotspur – April 2023

Liverpool cruised into an early three-goal lead courtesy of strikes from Curtis Jones, Luis Diaz and a penalty from Mohamed Salah.

However, after the lightning start from Klopp's side, Spurs found their feet and after goals from Harry Kane and Heung Min-Son, the London side's come back was completed by Anfield villan Richarlison deep into stoppage time.

However, a deflated home crowd exploded into scenes of jubilation just seconds later when Diogo Jota capitalised on Lucas Moura's mistake to salvage a dramatic win on 90+4 minutes in front of the Kop.

4. Norwich City 4-5 Liverpool – January 2016

Just a couple of months into Klopp's tenure, Liverpool's visit to Carrow Road in 2016 still remains one of the most dramatic games of the German's time as Reds boss.

Sebastien Bassong's rocket of a strike on 90+2 minutes looked to have earned the Canaries a point in East Anglia before Adam Lallana volleyed home on 90+5 to send Klopp sprinting down the touchline to celebrate with his players and ultimately get his glasses broken.

3. Newcastle United 1-2 Liverpool – August 2023

Darwin Nuñez's cameo is up there with Georginio Wijnaldum's against Barcelona in 2019 as one of the best Liverpool substitute performances ever.

After Virgil van Dijk's early red card, Liverpool had their backs to the wall at St. James' Park, already a cauldron when Newcastle are firing. There seemed very little hope that Liverpool would even get a draw from the position they were in, but two top-class strikes from Liverpool's new number nine gave the visitors a win that defied all odds.

2. Liverpool 1-0 Everton – December 2018

A player for the big occasion. This game serves as the Divock Origi origin story from where he would become Liverpool's big goal hero and scourge of Everton.

On a cold December evening, the Anfield crowd was certain of a goalless draw as Van Dijk sliced a wild volley towards the Everton net on 90+6 minutes.
