Jayden Danns is 'unlikely' to be fit to face Sparta Prague this Thursday after suffering from concussion.

The 18-year-old academy product has enjoyed a whirlwind start to the year, making his first-team debut, winning his first senior trophy and scoring his first goals all in the space of a week at the back end of February.

The homegrown forward even earned comparisons to darts sensation Luke Littler from manager Jurgen Klopp, following his FA Cup brace against Southampton.

Danns is, however, set to miss out on a chance for more game time this Thursday as Liverpool continue their Europa League campaign.

The young striker sat out training on Wednesday, while the Liverpool Echo reports he is suffering with concussion as a result of a collision with Nottingham Forest goalkeeper Matz Sels during Saturday's last-gasp Premier League victory.

Whether Danns will be fit again for Sunday's visit of title rivals Manchester City, or the Europa League last 16 second leg at Anfield next week, remains to be seen.

Salah is back

In more positive news, Mohamed Salah was back in full team training for the Reds as he steps up his recovery from injury.

The winger has only made two Liverpool appearances so far this calendar year as a result of the Africa Cup of Nations and subsequent injury issues, and hasn't started since New Year's Day.

Speaking ahead of last weekend's win over Forest, Klopp hinted that Salah would be in line to return to action ahead of the crucial City clash, telling reporters: "I think next week at any point is possible.

"So he's on the way back definitely but not there yet."

Meanwhile, Caoimhin Kelleher was also pictured amongst the training group despite unfounded social media rumours over his own fitness.
