Liverpool begin the Premier League season against Ipswich Town on Saturday afternoon and there is one youngster who could make his debut.

The Premier League is back. At last the new season is finally here and there will be plenty of excitement from Liverpool supporters going into what is not only a new campaign but also a new era.

Arne Slot's reign has begun at Liverpool and in the glimpses we have seen at pre-season, it promises to be an exciting new era with the Reds playing the kind of eye-catching possession based style that has become a trend in modern football.

In pre-season, Liverpool's performances were eye-catching, but it wasn't just the performance of the team that caught the eye but individual players as well.

Trey Nyoni could make his debut vs Ipswich Town

One of those individuals who really stood out in pre-season was Trey Nyoni. He's someone who was already praised by Jurgen Klopp last season a 'special' talent as per Liverpool ECHO journalist, Theo Squires.

In pre-season, Nyoni has stepped up and really caught Arne Slot's eye, too. Most notably scoring a spectacular goal in front of the Kop against Sevilla last Sunday.

That goal and his overall performances have led to him being involved with the first team squad ahead of Liverpool's trip to Ipswich. Given the fact that he's been training with the first team, there is a strong chance Nyoni could make his Premier League debut in the game as a substitute.

The youngster has already debuted for Liverpool last season when he came on as a late sub in the FA Cup against Southampton. But he's yet to feature in the league and at this stage it only feels like a matter of time.

Liverpool will manage him carefully, but the Reds have a special talent on their hands.
