Danns evidently did enough to convince Arne Slot of his merits with the Reds' head coach throwing the striker in for matches against Ipswich in the Premier League and PSV in the Champions League among others.
Indeed he has featured in four competitions for the Reds this season, scoring in the FA Cup win against Accrington, with the decision made at the end of the winter transfer window to send him out on loan for crucial game time.

Recent updates from Sunderland head coach Regis Le Bris have been vague but there are signs that Danns may well be available sooner rather than later.
The promising forward was sent back to Merseyside in order to recover from his latest injury and this week fans were thrilled to see Danns back among his Liverpool under-21 teammates.
Jayden Danns spotted back at training ground
The club’s official account on X shared a series of images featuring Liverpool stars relaxing at the training ground with one shot showing Danns prominently.
It would appear the frontman is back in the gym at least, although not quite on the training pitch, meaning a return could well be imminent.
Sunderland fans have largely been left baffled by Danns’ signing to this point but there is a good chance he makes it back in time to help with their Championship playoff campaign before the end of the season.
