Liverpool have revealed a new shirt that some fans are claiming is better than the new Nike 2024/25 home kit.

The Liverpool players will wear a new pre-match shirt against Wolves and next season after the club officially revealed the new training range. The shirt is a standard red with AXA replacing match shirt sponsor Standard Chartered on the front. It also feature the Nike tick logo and the stripped back Liver Bird Liverpool badge.

The simple design also features a subtle shirt pattern featuring Liverpool badges from the past four decades including those used by the all-conquering 1970s and 1980s squads, right through to the present day badge design.

The shirt is priced at £55 for adults here - £25 cheaper than the new home shirt - and fans have aready dubbed it better than the new Nike shirt thanks to its more subtle design.

The pre-match and training range was revealed by the club this week alongside new black training shirt designs and jackets that will be worn by the players in the new Premier League season.

The new red shirt will also be worn before Premier League games as a warm up kit and Nike says the shirt comes with cooling technology to help prevent sweating - an important feature as temperatures in Liverpool hit 21 degress Celsius for the final game of the Premier League season against Wolves.

The new training range is the latest new launch from Liverpool and Nike in the clothing brand's last year of a five-year contract with the club. The new Liverpool home shirt was revealed earlier in May and it arrived in stores on Friday, in time for Klopp's final game in charge of the club. The new Liverpool home shirt is priced at £80 and features Nike's unusual new 'half' collar design, as well as pinstripes spelling out YNWA.

The new Liverpool away and third shirts have not yet been announced by the club. The Liverpool third shirt is expected to be black with light blue highlights, while, the third shirt will be white and will feature Nike's new vertical logo, which flips the famous tick 90 degrees for the first time. They are expected to arrive in the next month.
