Liverpool will FINALLY sign superstar after nine years
Michael Edwards could finally pull off a transfer he's been working on for nine years at Liverpool.
FSG brought back the club's former sporting director in a new role that will see him be in charge of a wider umbrella of football clubs when the club's owners purchase another team.

For now though, Edwards is very much focused on Liverpool alongside Richard Hughes. Their mission this summer will be to rebuild this squad and overhaul some of the departments in the team.
Liverpool's goal is to make this team more like Arne Slot's team rather than Jurgen Klopp's. There's certain profiles that the Reds will be looking to bring to the club in order to evolve the team.
One of the key priorities of course is to sign a forward. Liverpool need a no.9 desperately and are ready to move on from their current options.
Anfield Watch revealed exclusively that the trio of Diogo Jota, Darwin Nunez and Luis Diaz are all up for sale.

They could in turn pave the way for a transfer Edwards has been trying to make for over nine years.
Michael Edwards could finally sign Alexander Isak
Alexander Isak seems to be the prime candidate for the no.9 role at Liverpool and it's no surprise given Edwards has tried to sign him all the way back in 2016.
Back then, Isak was on Liverpool's radar as per Sport and he was dubbed as the new Zlatan Ibrahimovic. Edwards was looking to reinforce the club's options with fresh young talent and Isak seemed like the most exciting young forward in European football at the time.
He'd bust onto the scene as a 16-year-old playing in Sweden's top flight for AIK and became a goal-scoring machine.
Isak's numbers were brilliant at the time. As a teenager he averaged 0.62 goals per 90, and overperformed his xG by 0.19, which is roughly how much he is overperforming his xG this season in the Premier League - highlighting that he's always been a superior finisher.
At the same time, he was a fluid striker for AIK, averaging close to five dribble attempts per 90 minutes and making 1.13 progressive runs as well as 1.23 shot assists proving he could link up with his teammates, too.
Based on the data, it made sense for Liverpool to pursue him. Even back then it was obvious he was the full package. But at the time, Borussia Dortmund won the race for Isak's signature.
The German side then subsequently never gave him a chance to spread his wings.
It took Isak several years to get back to the level he had promised during his AIK years but he's now even better than the potential he exhibited averaging 0.73 goals per 90 for Newcastle this season, and it's no surprise Edwards' newly led data team are pushing for his signature.
By all accounts, despite the high transfer fee, it looks like Liverpool will be able to get the deal done.
talkSPORT has recently reported that the Reds are willing to offer other players as part of the deal with Newcastle to land the Swedish star.
Another report from The Times has claimed that Newcastle are interested in Jarell Quansah.
Based on these reports, it's fair to deduce that after nine years Edwards now looks destined to get the man he has always wanted to bring to Anfield.
