Liverpool are considering a move for highly-rated Crysencio Summerville during the upcoming summer transfer window, Anfield Watch can reveal.

The 22-year-old Dutch winger has been turning heads with his impressive performances for Leeds in Championship this season, leading to a slew of interest from clubs in the Premier League, with Jurgen Klopp's side among the former Feyenoord star's admirers.

Summerville, who was also recently scouted by Newcastle, has made a significant impact on the Whites’ promotion push this campaign, with 18 goal contributions in 24 matches across all competitions.

The Leeds star can play either on the right or left flank, though he’s enjoyed best success playing on the opposite side to Mohamed Salah.

Sources close to the situation reveal that Liverpool's scouting team has been monitoring Summerville's progress ahead of the summer, where the club will look to bolster the frontline with younger talent.

Anfield Watch has been told that there is no longer a release clause inserted in Summerville’s contract. The winger previously had a buyout clause of £20.5m in his deal that was active during the summer but is no longer there.

Liverpool have good connections with the winger’s agency, while it is Anfield Watch's understanding that a move for Summerville would not be not dependent on any possible sale of Salah, who – in turn – is leaning towards extending his stay at Anfield.

Leeds signed completed the £1.3m signing of Summerville from Feyenoord in the summer of 2020. The winger signed a three-year contract, which has since been further extended to 2026.

Summerville famously scored the winner for Leeds as they beat Liverpool 2-1 at Anfield back in 2022. That game remains captain Virgil van Dijk's only league defeat at the Reds' home ground.
