Liverpool sit 1-1 with Southampton after a sloppy first half where they created their own issues.

Here are our half-time player ratings:

Caoimhin Kelleher - 7/10

In what might be his last start before Alisson's return, Kelleher isn't at fault for the scoreline. He actually saved Adam Armstrong's penalty but stopping a rebound can be too much to ask. He only had two other saves to make. The second, from a Flynn Downes effort 12 yards out, was particularly good.

Conor Bradley - 5/10

The youngster standing in for Trent Alexander-Arnold definitely hasn't looked out of place, but has made a couple of mistakes. He's got in behind well a couple of times but was awarded a yellow card for a late tackle on the 12th minute.

Ibrahima Konate - 3/10

An uncharacteristic amount of mistakes from the Frenchman handed Southampton a couple of chances. He was booked on the 15th minute for an unnecessary foul. Set the tone for a poor backline performance.

Virgil van Dijk - 4/10

The captain had done his standard dominant defending before a lazy pass lead directly to Andy Robertson giving away the penalty that made it 1-1.

Andy Robertson - 4/10

Robertson had been bright early on, putting in a good few crosses that Liverpool's attackers, yet poorly mistimed a challenge to hand Southampton the penalty that led to the 1-1 scoreline.

Ryan Gravenberch - 5/10

We've come to expect a really high level of performance out of Gravenberch, meaning his standard ball progression in this first half doesn't really stand out.

Curtis Jones - 5/10

Jones struggled to start the game, losing the ball a couple of times as Southampton aggressively pressed. He did however press Southampton's poor build up play very well, leading to Liverpool's opener.

Dominik Szoboszlai - 7/10

The Hungarian was energetic throughout the first half, creating an early chance for Mo Salah with a good carry and having a couple of attempts before neatly dispatching Liverpool's opening goal after a horror show at the back from Southampton.

Mohamed Salah - 5/10

The usually untouchable Salah was getting into his usual positions in the first half but demonstrated some poor finishing from the three chances he had.

Darwin Nuñez - 4/10

Nuñez was a bit of a non-factor in that first-half, failing to get in any real positions of danger. An unnecessary dive from a tussle late on doesn't help his cause.

Cody Gakpo - 6/10

The Dutchman was one of the brighter sparks in a fairly lacklustre first-half from the Reds, resisting the press for Salah's 5th minute chance, as well as putting in a dangerous cross and having himself a good early shot that was saved well by Southampton's McCarthy.
