HEAD-TO-HEAD RECORD
With 239 past meetings between the two biggest clubs in English football, Liverpool vs Man United is one of the most storied rivalries in football history.
A fixture that dates all the way back to 1894 when Man United were called Newton Heath, it's the clash that means most to both sets of supporters.
Man Utd do boast a slightly better record in this fixture, winning 90, drawing 69 and losing just 81 of their meetings with the Reds, but recent history has massively favoured Liverpool.
Klopp's men have won six of their last 12 battles with Man United, losing on just two occasions. Since January 2016, United have only won three times in this fixture - all came at Old Trafford.
It's also worth noting that these two met at Old Trafford in the FA Cup back in 2021, with United winning 3-2.
WHERE TO WATCH MAN UNITED VS LIVERPOOL on TV
ITV will broadcast Man United vs Liverpool on TV in the United Kingdom. Elsewhere in Europe, it differs wildly but you can find an exhaustive list of countries and their broadcasters here.
beIN Sports will show the game in the Middle East and North Africa, while they'll also show it in certain Asian countries. Again, there are too many different broadcasters in Asia to name them all.
It's far more straightforward in the Americas. Are you in Canada? Then Sportsnet is the place for you. Are you anywhere else? ESPN will show the game.
If you find yourself in Australia, then Network 10 and Paramount+ will show it, while Sub-saharan Africa is a mix of Supersport and New World TV.
LIVERPOOL TEAM NEWS
Exhaustive team news is unknown until after Liverpool play Sparta Prague on Thursday evening. The Reds are welcoming several players back, though, and Ryan Gravenberch returned to training this week.
Mohamed Salah is getting closer and closer to full fitness, too. He has every chance of starting his first Liverpool game since January 1st here.
Outside of that, it's a case of wait and see. We should know more by the end of the week.
MAN UNITED TEAM NEWS
Erik Ten Hag offered up some early team news for this one, revealing before United played Everton at the weekend that three players should return to face Liverpool. Harry Maguire, Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Rasmus Hojlund were the names.
United do, however, have several players who remain out. Mason Mount and Lisandro Martinez are probably the biggest names - Ten Hag will have to manage without them.
Liverpool predicted lineup
Very early this one but the expectation is that Jurgen Klopp will rest players against Sparta Prague. That should lead to a strong lineup at Old Trafford, even with players missing.
(4-3-3): Kelleher; Bradley; Gomez; Van Dijk; Robertson; Endo; Mac Allister; Szoboszlai; Salah; Nunez; Diaz
