Dominik Szoboszlai sends emotional message to Mo Salah
Mohamed Salah has been staggering this season with his attacking returns in front of goal and it seems as though he will deliver the best individual campaign the Premier League has ever seen.
His 25 goals and 16 assists in 27 league games have him in prime position to take home both the golden boot and the playmaker award when the season comes to an end and in the wider scheme of things, it is arguable that Salah is the most in-form player in Europe.

The fans are of course full of admiration for him. The man is almost single-handedly carrying Liverpool to success this season and this is all happening in Arne Slot's first season at the club.

But make no mistake about it, the players adore him just as much as the fans do, and while some of Salah's teammates have struggled to deliver anything remotely comparable to his efforts, the team as a whole has been working tirelessly in matches.
Tonight, against Manchester City at the Etihad, the Reds delivered one of their most perfect performances of the season, where every single player left their heart and soul on the pitch, so when the final whistle came, the emotions flooded out.
Dominik Szoboszlai expresses gratitude for Salah
The Reds' opener came from a set piece of all circumstances, as Alexis Mac Allister's corner was drilled into Szoboszlai, who laid it off to Salah - unmarked - in the middle of the box, to slot the ball home.
The assist was the Hungarian's first since January in the FA Cup against Accrington Stanley and in the context of his role as a No10, it was important to see him setting up some chances for the forwards.
And for Liverpool's second goal, it was Salah who repaid him the favour, laying the ball off at the edge of the box for Szoboszlai to strike into the right side of the goal, leaving Ederson flat-footed.
In addition to a prolific performance in front of goal, Szoboszlai was absolutely everywhere on the pitch, constantly pressing the Manchester City defenders and simply refusing to relent in his effort until the 90 minutes was up.
During his media duties, where he was interviewed alongside Salah, he was visibly out of breathe, having used up every last drop of energy during the game, just about managing to hand Salah the player of the match award, while probably feeling slightly miffed that he was snubbed for the accolade.
But when he entered the dressing room, he posed with Salah for a classic photo which has become a tradition for the goal-scorers in the game, and he responded on X with a heart emoji in the comments.
On a day where the pair were inseparable, Liverpool went 11 points clear at the top of the Premier League, with 11 games to go, although title pretenders Arsenal have a game in-hand.
The Reds next appearance will be at Anfield on Wednesday when Newcastle visit Merseyside, and the contest is set to be fierce as the players battle to recover in time.

But regardless of the result in that game, which is still a few days in the distance, Liverpool will feel incredibly positive about their title credentials after winning at the Etihad for the first time in the league in 10 years, and there will be no longer any doubts that when the team is firing on all cylinders, that it is the best in England.
