Liverpool vs Leicester City: Postponement fears arise as match called-off
Liverpool are set to take on Leicester City at 8pm tonight as the last game of the Premier League's Boxing Day schedule.
It's a game many have been looking forward to with Arne Slot's side sitting comfortably at the top of the Premier League table.
However, the game has been cast into doubt due to severe weather conditions around Merseyside.
The city and the surrounding area has been engulfed by a dense fog that has made visibility difficult.
Earlier today, Merseyside based League Two side Tranmere Rovers' 3pm game against Accrington Stanley was called off by the match officials due to the fog.
Now there are concerns the same could happen at Anfield if conditions do not improve.
A pitch inspection is set to take place at 4pm to assess the severity of the fog. Club officials will then make a decision whether to proceed or whether to postpone the game.
It seems as though everything in the end went ahead fine with the game set to begin at 8pm.
