Jordan Henderson sat out of Liverpool's two pre-season friendlies in Germany despite travelling with the squad amid talks with Saudi Pro League club Al Ettifaq. The 33-year-old's transfer is all but agreed and is expected to be confirmed before Liverpool fly to Singapore, so he's not expected to be part of the squad.

Fabinho has been pencilled in to resume training on Wednesday as his move to Al-Ittihad hangs in the balance, but it remains to be seen if he links up with the rest of his teammates. The Brazilian midfielder was not part of the squad for the trip to Germany and is likely to be left out once again as all parties work towards getting his £40m move to Saudi Arabia over the line.

Dominik Szoboszlai is expected to return after missing the 4-4 draw against Greuther Furth with a minor knock. Thiago Alcantara could also make his first appearance of pre-season after making a full recovery from a hip injury.

Liverpool remain locked in talks to snap up Romeo Lavia from Southampton and are expected to make a second bid for the midfielder after having a £37m offer knocked back. If all goes to plan, Lavia could link up with his new teammates in Singapore, but Liverpool still have a bit of work to do to get the deal over the line.

PREDICTED LINEUP

Here's how Liverpool could start the game against Leicester City on Sunday:

(4-3-3): Alisson Becker, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Ibrahima Konate, Virgil van Dijk, Andy Robertson, Thiago Alcantara, Alexis Mac Allister, Dominik Szoboszlai, Mohamed Salah, Cody Gakpo, Luis Diaz

PREDICTION
