Liverpool vs Everton: How the Premier League table now stands
Here's how the Premier League table stands after Everton vs Liverpool.
Liverpool went to Goodison Park for the final time on Wednesday in a rescheduled fixture. The ground, standing since 1892, is being replaced next season by a new home for Everton on the Bramley-Moore Dock.

A historic one, then, as Liverpool attempted to leave their mark at Goodison Park one last time. Now that the derby was the only reason for anticipation here.
Liverpool also top the Premier League and went into the derby with a six-point lead over Arsenal. Six points and a game in hand, though.

The Reds have been a game back ever since the original fixture against Everton was postponed because of high winds. Liverpool have been at a 'disadvantage', ever since - especially for the period where it was unclear when this one would even get played.
So with Arsenal hot on their tails, Liverpool have been unsure about their actual lead over the Gunners. Is it six, seven or nine?
A nine-point lead at this stage is always a sensational thing and remarkably few teams have ever overcome that kind of deficit in the second half of a season. Six points, though, is certainly within touching distance (and seven isn't exactly much better).
So with Liverpool knowing what to do to secure the Premier League title, here's how things look after the derby.

The Premier League table
Liverpool are now SEVEN points clear with 14 games to go.
The Reds fell behind to Everton courtesy of a Beto strike before equalising through Alexis Mac Allister. Mo Salah then put Liverpool in front and until the 98th minute it appeared the lead would stand.
However with referee Michael Oliver putting on eight minutes of added time rather than the assigned five, Everton got an equaliser of their own through James Tarkowski.
The home side celebrated like they'd won their first trophy since the FA Cup in 1995 but the truth was it was a draw which extends Liverpool's lead at the top.
And so at one stage it would look like Liverpool being nine points clear of Arsenal with the run-in taking shape, it's now seven.
