Christian Vieri has urged Liverpool to sign Napoli's Victor Osimhen this summer.

Vieri is a legend of Italian football playing for all the major clubs in the Serie A, most notably becoming a superstar for Inter Milan in the early 2000s, scoring 103 goals in 143 games for I Nerazzurri.

Speaking on his Twitch channel called BoboTV, as cited by Sport Witness, the legendary striker said that Liverpool should go after Napoli's Osimhen.

“If I were Liverpool, I would go and take [Victor] Osimhen from Napoli. Everyone runs in Klopp’s squad, they go a thousand miles an hour. He would be perfect.”

Osimhen really put his name on the map when he had a very impressive breakthrough season with LOSC Lille in Ligue 1 where he scored 18 goals and grabbed six assists in 38 games for the French side.

After only one season with Les Dogues, Napoli signed him for a reported fee of £67.5m, making him the most expensive African player ever.

His form with the Nigerian national team has also impressed a lot of people and he's started to become a huge figure in his home country.

The 23-year-old has already played 18 games for the Super Eagles, scoring 10 goals in the process.

Before he joined Napoli, Osimhen revealed that he turned down multiple 'interesting offers' from English sides, as cited by Mail Sport.

"Many predicted I will move to the EPL, and I had a lot of interesting offers from some clubs. But Napoli was the best choice for me," said Osimhen.

"It was so because of the kind of player I want to be in the future, and the kind of great career I want to have. I have no doubt that Napoli is the club I need to achieve that greater height."

Jurgen Klopp's side haven't reportedly shown any interest in the Nigerian striker as of yet but other sides such as Tottenham, Arsenal and Manchester United have all been previously linked to him.
