Liverpool READY to move for wonderkid already DESTROYING professional teams
One of Liverpool’s biggest success stories off the pitch recently has been the way in which they have identified, nurtured and developed youth talent.
The recent signing of Rio Ngumoha from Chelsea has exemplified that. The youngster was so highly rated by the Blues that they stopped allowing Liverpool scouts to attend their youth games afterwards.

But recent first-team call-ups Trey Nyoni and Amara Nallo were signed from Leicester City and West Ham United, respectively, showing just how adept Liverpool have become at identifying talent.
And now they are after another, with the Mail Online reporting that they have been keeping tabs on Sunderland’s Trey Ogunsuyi.
Liverpool's next youth star?
Ogunsuyi, still just 18 years old, is an incredibly highly rated attacker in youth circles. He has already netted himself eight goals in seven appearances for Sunderland’s youth sides this term, including five in five for the under-21s.
He has also scored three times in three games in the National League Cup, a competition played between under-21 sides and professional teams in the English fifth tier.
This included two in a 5-1 win over Tamworth and the equaliser in a 2-2 draw with local rivals Gateshead, who are fourth at time of writing (Gateshead would win the game on penalties).
Ogunsuyi’s output and ability when playing against full professionals is the most exciting indication of the player he could become.
It is for this reason he has featured in three matchday squads for Sunderland’s first team this season, most recently for a 1-1 draw with Millwall.
He has also made six appearances for Belgium's national youth teams, showing just how highly he is rated across Europe.
If he were to join Liverpool, he would be coming into an environment where youth talent is appreciated more than most in the Premier League.
This week’s EFL Cup quarter-final will almost certainly be a showcase of Liverpool’s academy products, with appearances for Trey Nyoni and Amara Nallo expected at the bare minimum, with James Norris and Jayden Danns also anticipated.
