Trent Alexander-Arnold’s WORST nightmare is about to come true
The news that Khvicha Kvaratskhelia is available for a transfer emerged on Thursday evening and sent shockwaves around the footballing world.
As cited by multiple journalists, including transfer guru Fabrizio Romano, Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) have opened negotiations with the Georgian superstar.

But this opportunity is also looking to be exploited by multiple Premier League sides who can match the French giants for money and power, least of all Liverpool.
And the Reds will be buoyed by the news that Napoli reportedly view Federico Chiesa as a legitimate option to replace Kvaratskhelia, making a deal a distinct possibility.
But if this were to happen, it would be Trent Alexander-Arnold’s worst nightmare.
Kvaratskhelia shows up Alexander-Arnold
The right-back has only come up against Kvaratskhelia a handful of times in his career, last being in the UEFA Champions League back in the Autumn of 2022.
And in those games, the winger has made a mockery of Alexander-Arnold time and time again, tormenting him with his dribbling wizardry.
This was a key part of Napoli’s 4-1 win over the Reds that season when they blew Liverpool off the pitch in the first half alone.
Kvaratskhelia was a key part of the build up play that led to the Italian side going 1-0 up inside five minutes from the penalty spot.
He then sauntered past Alexander-Arnold like he wasn’t there, held off Joe Gomez with deceiving strength and laid the ball on a plate for teammate Giovanni Simeone to make it 3-0 before half-time.
Liverpool managed to defeat Napoli 2-0 when they returned to Anfield a couple of months later, but Kvaratskhelia still made his mark that day.
He whipped in an unplayable free kick that Leo Skiri Ostigard turned home before it was ruled out for a shoulder-width offside when the game was 0-0, and he could have properly opened the scoring himself if he’d connected better with a volley after getting free of Alexander-Arnold at the back post.
Alexander-Arnold has a history of fierce competition with his own teammates. Liverpool’s academy director, Alex Inglethorpe recently revealed that the right-back used to go toe-to-toe with youth teammate Bobby Adekanye and “probably hated him with a passion”.
If that’s what it’s like in training, Kvaratskhelia will be the last person Trent wants to see donning the infamous Red shirt.
