Trent Alexander-Arnold just dropped MASSIVE hint about Liverpool future
Since the arrival of Arne Slot in Merseyside, Liverpool have stepped up their game to a new level.
The Reds are top of the Premier League over a quarter of the way through their campaign and are also the only team remaining in the UEFA Champions League to have won every match.
Supporters have witnessed a collective step up from the team, with the defence especially looking impenetrable, but there are also a number of individual performers who seem to have improved under their new head coach.

Ryan Gravenberch looks a player reborn under the tutelage of his compatriot and Luis Diaz is the most clinical he’s been since he arrived from Porto in 2022.
Another stand-out for Slot has been Liverpool’s vice-captain, Trent Alexander-Arnold, who has managed to show remarkable defensive improvements, finally silencing some of his critics.
Trent was once again substituted in the Reds’ most recent win however, and his social media post after the game has got fans worried.
Trent’s cryptic post-match message
Following the game, which his side won 4-0, Alexander-Arnold took to Instagram to share a picture from the night.
Trent’s post wasn’t accompanied by a caption and only consisted of one photo, a picture of him and Bayer Leverkusen’s manager Xabi Alonso.
This was the only post he has made since the match, and it has led fans to speculate online that it could be a hint at the 26-year-old's future.
Alexander-Arnold is one of the three Liverpool stars that are out of contract at the end of the season, alongside Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk, and although talks have reportedly opened for an extension, there is every chance the Reds’ no.66 could leave in June.
Although Alonso is currently the Leverkusen manager, there has been plenty of talk of him replacing Carlo Ancelotti at his former club Real Madrid before the start of next season.
This is why fans have made the link between Trent’s post and a potential move to Real Madrid.
Is this confirmation that Trent is leaving?
There is of course a chance that this is a cryptic form of the superstar confirming he is heading to Real Madrid to link up with Alonso next year, but it could also be completely innocent.
Trent grew up as a Liverpool fan and Alonso was a prominent figure in the Reds’ first team when Trent was a boy.
It could just be a football fan posting a picture with one of his childhood idols.
The player himself has also confirmed to the press that he doesn’t want his contract renewal to be played out in public, and posting cryptic hints doesn’t fit well with those wishes.
Although supporters will be worried about losing one of the best players the club has seen for decades, discussions and a decision will almost certainly play out privately, and the player and the club will announce whatever decision has been made when the time is right.
